Terms & Conditions
These terms explain how you may use localguid.com. By using the site, you agree to them.
Last updated: July 14, 2026
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using localguid.com (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. The service
localguid provides free, browser-based tools for generating GUIDs and UUIDs. Identifiers are created locally in your browser. We do not require an account and do not host your generated values on our servers.
3. Permitted use
You may use the Service for personal or commercial projects, subject to these limits:
- Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the Service in harmful ways.
- Do not use the Service to violate applicable laws or others’ rights.
- Do not scrape or automate access in a way that degrades availability for others.
4. No warranty
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement. You are responsible for validating generated identifiers before using them in production systems.
5. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, localguid and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or business arising from your use of the Service — including collisions, formatting mistakes, or downtime.
6. Analytics and privacy
The Service may use Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage (for example, page views and how often generate actions occur). Generated GUID/UUID values are not sent to our servers as part of generation. Details are described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Third-party links
The Service may link to external resources (such as RFCs or documentation). We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third-party sites.
8. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the revised terms.
