Who we are
localguid is an independent developer tool focused on one job: generating cryptographically strong identifiers entirely on your device. We believe privacy should be the default for utilities like this — not an afterthought hidden behind signup walls.
The site stays intentionally small: a home page for quick generation, dedicated GUID and UUID tools, and clear documentation about how those values work. No accounts. No paywall. Just a fast page you can keep open while you build.
Local by default
Every GUID and UUID is created in your browser with the Web Crypto API. Values are never uploaded or stored on our servers.
Built for real work
Uppercase, braces, bulk export, and common UUID versions — focused tooling without ads or clutter getting in the way.
